I HEAR THAT.
I graduated Belmont almost 8 months ago with a Bachelor's degree in Business. Guaranteed to open so many doors, right?
Not necessarily.
When I was looking at Belmont's business program, one of the leading factors in my interest was that there was, I believe, a 94 or 96% job placement rate within the first 6 months out of the university. That's HUGE.
Yet, while some of my friends are getting engaged, some are travelling the country, and some are landing their dream job, I search and reach out, with no reciprocation. Sometimes I feel my life is just at a standstill.
Do you have those moments?
So what do we do?
I guess there are only a few things to do:
1. Pray for opportunities to touch people's lives in whatever situation we are in.
2. Prepare for what it is we are searching for
3. Keep trying to find a path to our desired destination unless you feel called in a different direction
4. Enjoy the stillness- sometimes life is so busy and it's easy to take the calm moments for granted
I just wanted to take a moment and encourage anyone reading that while we can't control what is or is not happening in our lives, we can make and take opportunities in the meantime!
Please leave me some comments on any other suggestions you have!
